The Importance of Routine Dental Visits

A Dental Focus on Back-To-School Preparation
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends all children visit the dentist every six months for routine and preventative care. When children see their dental care provider this often, any minor decay or other changes in dental health can be detected and treated with less affect to the child. This also creates good habits that will most likely stick with them into adulthood, leading to a lifetime of good oral health. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Dental Association (ADA) both recommend children seeing a dentist for the first time approximately six months after they get their first tooth, usually sometime between 1 year and 18 months of age. Call your dental care provider today to schedule your child’s next exam.
